Chapters 1-2 “What I Have Learned”

Posted on April 2, 2010 in Uncategorized by danielmrt09

I have learned many things that I did not allready know about our state like I did not know about the huge Mega Flood that happened a long time ago. I also learned that it happened over night and that the canyons in the scablands were not formed over millions of years ago.

I leaned many things about the regions in the second chapter lat week. One thing that I learned is that there are a lot of diffrent regions and that they have many of the same trees and animals. I also learned that there are less trees in the east than in the west. I also learned that a lot of the Canivores hangout in the east more than in the west. I also learned that most of the marine life iin washington is maninly in the west near the coast than in the west.  I also learned that many of the regions are knd of divided up by the hight, or the elevation, of the ground. This is what i learned in Chapters one and two.

muhammad book

The thing that i think that i did well in was all the writing on each page. The thing that i could work on or change would probobly be my cover. The reason why i think that i need to work on my cover is because i kinda did it a lil to quickly. The thing that i learned most about muhammad is that he is like really really really really really really really really important to other muslims. The assessments that i prefer more is projects i prefer these type of projects because it is easier to learn and understand more about the subject. THATS WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello my  name is Joe and i have traveled back in time to 600 C.E. and right now i’m going to tell you some educational things that are happening right now. I’m going to speak  with this traveler right now and I’m going to ask him ten tips on how to suvive in Suadi Arabia. (Translated frrom Aribic) “Ok what are 10 good tips you have for me.” (Traslated to english.) ” Sure I got ten tips for you. One, don’t wear big tight clothes as it is very hot out here; also bunker down at night as it gets very cold. Also, always try to find a town and buy a camel so you have milk. If you find an oasis make use of it’s vegetation and water, also head for the mountains or coastal plains because that’s good for farming, also try to get shade because you can get bad sun burns out here.  Watch out for the locus.  Cover up your skin, and one last thing, watch out for bandits.”  “Ok, thanks a lot” said Joe.  “I need one more thing from you.  Give me one tip for each environment.”  “Yeah, sure I can do that” said the Arab.  “I’m going to talk about the desert environment first.  One thing you need to do is keep hydrated.  You don’t always need to carry water with you; you can get camel milk as camel milk has water in it.  Ok, next is Oasis.  When you find an oasis fill up on water and vegetation.  The next thing is the Coastal Plains.  When you get to the coastal plains, get meat, bread and other food.  Also, get buckets of water.  Last is the mountain ranges.  If you want to go further than the coastal plains, then you should stop and settle there because that place gets twenty inches of rain a year. And thats very good for this area. And the people also build better houses than they so here in the desert. The Mountain Ranges are also very very good for farming.” Thanks that helps a lot” said the reporter. ” Well looks like it’s time to go back to our regular time, Ok this is joe reporting from I  don’t know what time or year it is. And goodbye.

Letter to Parents

Dear Mom and Dad,

This trimester in ss has been mostly easy because i am really good at anewsering questions in my ss book.  The thing that i can work on is  paying attention to who is talking in class and not blurting out. In LA this trimester I dug a pretty deep hole at the beginning of the trimester but i got my grade back up to a B+ so that is a big improvment for me. The ting that i can work on is to just turn in my homework like when it is due instead of just turning it in late and not grtting all the credit i could have gottan.  In art this trimester I did very well on my projects and i completed all of  them. I just have I think a B+ because i turned in one thing late that is the only reason why I think that I have a B+.  In Gym this trimester i kind of dug a hole for my self because I had a lot of “no suits” and I need to make them up that is why I  have a  C-  in Gym but we have to do health next trimester so I  might do better this trimester. The thing that i can do better this trimester is turn in all my work and not fall behind. This trimester in science i barlly kept up lots and lots of notes every day plus this science project that i had to do at the end of the trimester .  The thing I can do better this trimester is try to kep up and get all my home work in so i don’t fall behind in class and also i need to get more sleep so i don’t take a nap in class. Ok  math, What i did to myself in math this trimester was stupid and dumb because i dug the biggest hole I have ever dug . The thing that I need to do this coming trimester is do ALL of my homework and not just come home and say “oh i allready finished it”. The other thing that I also need to do is to get my game on this coming trimester I also need to start asking Miss Brogdon for help. I also need to not focus on my games and start focusing on my school work. These are the things that i need to work on this trimester. These things are also things that i did this trimester.

Love,

1.)The assessment that i did the best on was probrobly the church poem because I put a lot of hard work  into it not just a bunch of scribbles!!!

2.)The thing that I would change would probrobly color it more or change hte illuminated  ” T “!

3.)So the most helpful tool was watching the video because it helped me understand the midieval religion!!
